Would 6-Month Braces Work For Me?

How would you feel if you knew you could get a more beautiful smile in six months without having to sport traditional braces? The fact is, if you’re a candidate, you will be able to!

Would 6-Month Braces Work For Me?

These braces, meant for older teens and adults, as the name implies, are used for six months. They’re transparent so your teeth show through perfectly, and they’re also effective and affordable. But are they the right choice for you?

If you agree with one or more of the statements below, the chances are high 6-month braces would be ideal for you.

  1. There are spaces between some of my teeth;
  2. A couple of my teeth are out of position;
  3. I have a few crooked teeth;
  4. I have some teeth that are crowded together.

Six-month braces fit into a busy lifestyle without the inconvenience of having to wear traditional metal braces for two or more years. These braces won’t fix any major orthodontic issues and your mouth has to be pretty healthy already. If your teeth are somewhat crowded they might need light reshaping allowing your teeth to be moved easier giving you a more desired outcome.

It’s in the bite

If your back bite is good, but there’s a small misalignment in the front and/or slight crowding or some spacing in between your teeth, these braces are definitely an option since the goal is to move six to eight teeth you have in front either on top, bottom or both. It’s best to get an opinion about short term braces from a professional.

Another plus of six month braces? The cost! They’re far less costly than veneers or crowns – often thousands of dollars less!

Will it hurt?

Since these braces use low force to move teeth, there will be little to no discomfort.

Will I need retainers?

Because you’ll want to keep teeth in their final position, wearing a retainer is very important. They’re fitted right after your treatment is done.

Will they damage my teeth, roots or gums?

That’s highly unlikely. Six month braces are far easier on your teeth than crowns or veneers. The risks aren’t any higher than if you had conventional braces.
